The final declaration of the PKK's 12th Congress has been released. The congress decided to dissolve the PKK’s organizational structure and end its armed struggle, effectively concluding all activities carried out under the PKK of the PKK.
Although the PKK declared a unilateral ceasefire more than two months ago, the peace organization Community Peacemaker Teams has recorded a drastic increase in Turkish military strikes in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).
At the 12th Congress of the PKK, Executive Committee Member Duran paid tribute to İmralı Delegation member Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who passed away on May 3.
