YPG: Our forces actively participated in the operation for Suleyman Shah tomb

YPG pointed out that the operation which was conducted with armored vehicles and joined by soldiers of the Turkish army was carried out within the knowledge of YPG Command and with the participation of YPG forces in Kobanê.

YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Centre has released a statement about the operation of the Turkish army for Suleyman Shah operation yesterday evening.

The statement by YPG Press Centre pointed out that the operation which was conducted with armored vehicles and joined by soldiers of the Turkish army was carried out within the knowledge of YPG Command and with the participation of YPG forces in Kobanê.

“Evaluating the demand of the Turkish state and the request of coalition forces, our Command saw no harm in approving the operation in which human dimension was in the forefront”, the statement said.

The Press Centre remarked that the planning of the operation was concretized in the wake of a four-day debate between Turkish authorities and officials appointed by the YPG Kobanê Command.

The statement continued: "In this context, armored vehicles and a certain number of soldiers affiliated to the Turkish army crossed into Kobanê Canton through Mürşitpınar border crossing at 21.00 yesterday evening. Advancing in company with vehicles of YPG forces, the Turkish military reached the Suleyman Shah tomb following a route which had been previously determined. Our forces have precisely fulfilled their duty after undertaking responsibility for the deployment and reinforcement of Turkish soldiers in the areas controlled by our forces", YPG said.

The statement added that the operation in which YPG forces actively participated has been successfully completed.
