Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) has released a statement strongly condemning the execution of Kurdish political prisoners in Iran.
Calling attention to the executions in East Kurdistan and the Iranian regime's terror against the Kurdish people, KNK stressed that: “The people of Kurdistan will continue to be in existence everywhere.”
“The whole humanity must know that the Iranian state has the blood of Kurdistan girls and boys on its dirty hands as its reactionary and colonialist politics have repeatedly led to the execution of Kurdish youths with grudge and animosity”, KNK said.
Pointing out that arrest, imprisonment, torture, killing and execution is a mechanism resorted to only by coward governments, KNK recalled that Hebibullah ve Eli Efsharî brothers and Saman Naseem have just been executed, while the fate of three other political activists, Sîrwan Nijawî, Îbrahîm Şapûrî and Yunis Axayan, is not clearly known.
KNK said the Kurdish people are not afraid of executions and persecution, underlining that these inhumane practices will only strengthen their struggle and resistance further.
Kurdistan National Congress ended the statement by calling on the world public opinion to increase the pressure on the Iranian regime and to suspend diplomacy with it, and to ensure the trial of prisoners in Iranian jails in accordance with international laws.
