WOMEN
"The Women’s Protection Units have become a symbol of women’s resistance and freedom—not only in Rojava, but throughout the world. This resistance has nurtured hope and a yearning for freedom and social equality, said the YPJ on its 13th anniversary.
Ronahî Malatya emphasized that women and women’s movements should prioritize the socialization of Abdullah Öcalan’s call.
In the person of Martyrs Delal and Zîlan, the self-sacrificial spirit of Kurdish women has gained a historic meaning and grown. They became not just names, but pioneers, freedom fighters, representatives of the spirit of self-sacrifice.
Cîhan Hîvron, who set an example for her comrades with her struggle, courage, resistance and sacrifice, will never be forgotten. Her name will be remembered with great honour in the resistance epics of Kurdish women, among the heroes of the struggle.
