  The HPG pays tribute to guerrillas Gulan Hêmin, Mizgîn Cigerxwîn and Sozdar Feraşîn fell as martyrs following the bombing by the Turkish army of the Medya Defense Areas in September 2020.

  Turkish soldiers used violence against the people of Zorova village in Amed's Sur district. On the other hand, Turkish forces detained 6 people in house raids in Hakkari’s Çukurca district.
• State terror in Lice: house raided and 4 taken into custody 

  During an operation launched by the invading Turkish army in Lice, province of Amed, houses were raided in villages and hamlets. Villagers were exposed to violence and 4 people were detained.

  Hewlêr (Erbil) International Airport has been attacked by a drone loaded with explosives.
• HPG: 2 Turkish soldiers killed in Heftanin 

  As part of the Battle of Heftanin Revolutionary Campaign, guerrillas carried out a successful action against the enemy forces on the Assassination Hill in the Xantur area of the Heftanin region on 20 March.
• MXDŞ: Enthusiastic celebration of Çarşema Sor will frustrate the enemy's plans 

  The Shengal Democratic Autonomous Council said that celebrating the Çarşema Sor (Yazidi New Year), with great enthusiasm "will frustrate the enemy's attacks against the Yazidis and their invasion plans for Shengal."
• Iraqi Interior Minister visits Shengal 

  Iraq's Interior Minister Osman al-Ghanmi, accompanied by the Chief of General Staff, has traveled to Shengal on Monday to discuss with the military the implementation of the controversial agreement on the administration of the Yazidi region.
• HPG commemorates Metina martyrs 

  HPG published the names of five fighters martyred in a Turkish airstrike on the Metina region of southern Kurdistan in March 2020.
• HPG: 3 Turkish soldiers killed in Gabar 

  3 Turkish soldiers, including a high-ranking commander, were killed in an action carried out by guerrillas in Gabar region of Şırnak province in northern Kurdistan.
• Hunger strikers in Maxmur say they won't stop fasting until Öcalan's freedom is achieved  

  On December 18, a hunger strike was launched in Maxmur Camp in the Kurdistan Region in northern Iraq. The action is led by women and has reached its 115th day.
• HPG commemorate fallen fighter Devrim Amargî 

  Guerrilla Devrim Amargî fell a martyr in 2015 in the Kurdish mountains. The HPG pay tribute to the struggle of the militant who came to the guerrilla as an agent of the Turkish state and experienced a radical change in the PKK.
• Military operation in Van 

  The Turkish army has launched a military operation in Van province. The area of operation includes rural regions in Gürpınar district and special forces have set up roadblocks.
• HPG Air Defense Units hit Turkish base in Çukurca 

  The ‘Martyr Delal Forces’ targeted a base of the Turkish army in the countryside of the Hakkari province, northern Kurdistan as part of the “Time for Freedom” campaign.

  During a visit to Shengal, Peshmerga veteran Osman Mihemed expressed his support for the Yazidi community's demands for autonomy and appealed to the KDP not to turn against its own people.

  HPG-BIM published footage of a sabotage action that targeted the Newa military station in Şemdinli district of Hakkari at 08:00 on January 19.
• Iraqi MP: "The demand for autonomy for Shengal is constitutional" 

  In view of the tense situation in Shengal, Iraqi MP Yusra Recep paid a visit to the Yazidi settlement area in southern Kurdistan. The parliamentarian confirmed that the demand for autonomy is constitutional.
• HPG guerrilla martyred in Gare 

  The Turkish army carried out a massive bombardment on guerrilla areas in southern Kurdistan last Sunday. A guerrilla by the name of Andok Oremar was martyred in the attack.

  People's Defense Forces (HPG) guerrilla İsmet Bilgiç (Rüstem Midyat), who was martyred during an armed clash in the area of Mount Bagok, has been buried by his family.
