• Kurdish youth stage long march in France 

  TCŞ and TEKO-JIN activists have started a long march in Paris to protest at the 22nd anniversary of the February 15, 1999 conspiracy against Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.

  Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court has ruled the continuation of detention for 29 politicians who are held hostage within the scope of the Kobanê trial. The court argued that the ECtHR ruling on Selahattin Demirtaş was "not binding".
• Hunger strike in Lavrio, Greece on day 36 

  The hunger strike organized by Kurdish refugees in Lavrio, Greece, in solidarity with the action launched by political prisoners against the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan and the increasing violations of rights in Turkey’s prisons, is on its 36th day.
• Trustee rules Van University

• Academics turn their backs to the President-appointed rector  

  Academics, who supported the protests carried out by Boğaziçi University students against the rector imposed by Presidential decree, once again turned their backs to the office of the rector.
• 147 writers send a statement of solidarity to Boğaziçi University students 

  A joint text was published by 147 writers in support to Boğaziçi University students. "We stand by the resistance at Boğaziçi University. We will not bow to persecution and oppression," said the writers.
• Young activists from Paris take over Freedom for Öcalan Vigil in Strasbourg 

  The Freedom for Öcalan Vigil in Strasbourg, France has entered its 451st week. Kurdish young people from Paris took over the vigil this week.
• Young man shot by soldiers in Van fights for his life in hospital 

  M. Ali Nametoğulları, shot by Turkish soldiers in Van, is struggling for his life. His father Iskender Namtoğulları said that his son had got out of the vehicle and had raised his hands but was shot while walking towards the soldiers.
• Socialist Andres Arauz wins first electoral round in Ecuador 

  Socialist Andres Arauz won the first electoral round in Ecuador. He advanced to an April 11 runoff, but it is still too close to call whether he would face environmental activist Yaku Perez or conservative banker Guillermo Lasso.
• Long March in Germany enters day 4 

  The action promoted in Hanau by TEKO-JIN, TCŞ and internationalists as an alternative to the Long March, entered day 4.
• University student Beyza Buldağ remanded in custody 

  MSGSÜ student Beyza Buldağ, who was sent to the court with the claim of "inciting the people to hatred and incitement to commit a crime", has been remanded in custody.
• HDP to present new campaign "Justice for all" 

  The HDP will present the program of its new campaign "Justice for All" on Monday. The initiative will illuminate the entire spectrum of conflicts in Turkey and offer ideas for alternative solution perspectives.
• Mobile Öcalan Library in Rome 

  In order to make the philosophy of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan known worldwide, 22 mobile libraries are currently touring Europe, Canada and Australia. One of the minibuses is currently in Italy's capital Rome.
• Demonstrations worldwide: "The time has come - Freedom for Öcalan!" 

  Kurdish and internationalist people worldwide are demanding freedom for Abdullah Öcalan. The commitment is great, the forms of action are diverse.
• Vaccination rates in Northern Kurdistan and Turkey 

  According to the Ministry of Health, over two and a half million people in Turkey have been vaccinated with the Chinese vaccine Sinovac. A map shows the disparity in the distribution of the vaccine.
• Two youth activists arrested in Istanbul and Izmir 

  Turkish police have stormed apartments in Istanbul and Izmir and arrested two people. A member of the HDP Youth Council is accused of social media posts, and a student in Izmir is said to have founded a WhatsApp group.
• Online event on Monday to introduce key issues of Abdullah Öcalan's work 

  As part of the Long March in the UK, the Kurdistan Solidarity Network will host a series of events calling for an end to the isolation of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement's leader, Abdullah Öcalan. The first is a zoom meeting on Monday.
• Diyarbakır Police Department admits secret witness does not exist 

  Political trials in Turkey are based almost entirely on statements made by prosecution secret witnesses. In a trial in Amed, the police now had to admit that such secret witness does not even exist.
• Resistance in Sur: Workers find body during excavation work 

  A body believed to belong to a person killed by the Turkish state during the autonomous-government resistance in 2015 was found in the borough of Sur, in Amed.

  Kurds and internationalists are holding a Long March to condemn the international conspiracy on 15 February 1999 which led to the capture of Abdullah Öcalan. The second day of the march was in Frankfurt.
• Swedish trade union calls for freedom for Öcalan 

  Swedish trade union SAC said that Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan must be free for the achievement of a solution to the Kurdish problem.
