Activists send letter to the UN from Duisburg, Oldenburg, Heilbronn and London

The people of Kurdistan are sending letters to the UN demanding the end of isolation and freedom of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Kurds in London, Duisburg, Oldenburg and Heilbronn sent letters to the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres. The letter invites the UN to act to ensure the end of the isolation imposed on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and for his freedom.

DUISBURG

Letters were sent to the UN from Kurds in Duisburg. Before sending the letters activists joined an action organised by Duisburg DKTM.

Duisburg DKTM co-chair, Niyazi Öztaş, said: “Today we send letters to the UN demanding action in ending isolation.”

OLDENBURG

The same action was held in Oldenburg where activists sent letters to the UN from the Oldenburg Central Post Office.

In the statement made at the Post Office, the activists said: "We want to see Leader Apo free among the people.”

HEILBRONN

Letters to the UN were also sent by activists in Heilbronn.
