HDP to present new campaign "Justice for all"

The HDP will present the program of its new campaign "Justice for All" on Monday. The initiative will illuminate the entire spectrum of conflicts in Turkey and offer ideas for alternative solution perspectives.

The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) will present the program of its new "Justice for All" campaign on Monday. This was announced by organizational policy spokesman Alican Önlü in Ankara on Sunday. "We are thus initiating the building process for justice in this country," Önlü said. The campaign is expected to last until June.

The HDP’s intention to initiate a campaign lasting several months on the four main issues of isolation, hunger strike, Kobanê trial and the recent ruling of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in the Selahattin Demirtaş trial was announced by co-chairs Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar at an online meeting of their party's municipal committee two weeks ago.

According to Önlü, all preparations have now been completed and the declaration will be presented in Ankara with the participation of all components of the HDP, civil society and civil rights organizations, trade unions, and political, media, artistic and cultural figures. The program will illuminate the entire spectrum of conflicts in Turkey and offer ideas for alternative solution perspectives.

"It is basically a continuation of the democratic struggle program of our party," said Alican Önlü and added; “With the turn of the year, it has once again become clear in all clarity that the root of all problems is a deep injustice, the effects of which are felt by almost everyone: Kurds, Alevis, women and our environment. This unacceptable injustice affects at least ninety percent of society. We want 2021 to be the year for justice for all."
