• HDP candidates visit Syriacs on hunger strike 

  The 4-day hunger strike organised by the “Seyfo Committee” to draw attention to the 100th anniversary of the Seyfo genocide is continuing in the Midyat district of Mardin. The strikers have today been visited by the HDP Mardin MP candidates.

  A probe has been launched against six people on the grounds of carrying posters of the Kurdish Leader Abdullah Öcalan at Newroz celebrations in Birecik district of Urfa at this year's Newroz celebration on 18 March.

  The Turkish state has prevented humanitarian aid sent from Denmark reaching people from Kobané who are in Suruc.
• Student wounded in Kobanê jailed and denied treatment 

  Pamukkale University Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department final year student Erkin Selanik, who had gone to Kobanê to provide service for women and children aggrieved by the ongoing conflict, was wounded with a shrapnel piece on the head.
• Vigil for justice at Roboski border continues 

  In the village of Roboski, where 34 Kurdish civilians were massacred by Turkish warplanes on 28 December 2011, people continue suffering an ever-increasing repression by Turkish soldiers and the military activity around the village.
• Roboski villagers facing an unending repression by Turkish military 

  Hüseyin Encü, who lost his brother Cihan Encü in Roboski massacre said that; “The state massacred us in our own lands. While we tried to survive in these lands, we see that they are preparing for new massacres”.
• Syriacs and Assyrians in Stockholm start hunger strike against ISIS 

  The Syriac and Assyrian people living in Sweden have started a hunger strike, after they took to the streets yesterday in some cities to protest the attacks of the ISIS on Assyrian villages in Til Temir and Hasekê.

  Federation of Yazidi Societies in Europe (FKÊ) has issued a statement urging the KDP asayish (public security) forces to end the repression of the Sinjar Yazidis sheltered in camps in Zaxo and Duhok cities of South Kurdistan.
• New mass grave found in Dargeçit 

  A new mass grave has been discovered in a cave near the village of Dilan (Ulaş) in the Dargeçit district of Mardin province. The human remains found in the Pekurte cave are thought to be of people who were abducted by JITEM in the 1990s.
• PKK inmates transferred from Imralı to Tekirdağ put in solitary 

  It has been revealed that PKK inmates Cumali Karsu, Bayram Kaymaz and Hakkı Alpan, who were recently transferred from the Imralı island prison to the Tekirdağ F Type prison, are being held in solitary confinement.
• ISIL may have committed genocide in Iraq, says UN human rights report 

  A report by the United Nations human rights office says that the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant may have committed genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity in its attacks against ethnic and religious groups in the country.
