In response to the Turkish occupation’s massacre in Kobani countryside, SDF forces conducted decisive operations against Turkish occupation mercenaries.
The Press Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement providing information about the latest operations by their forces and attacks by the Turkish army and allied mercenaries.
The SDF statement on Tuesday includes the following:
“On the night of Sunday to Monday, the Turkish occupation carried out a brutal attack on the village of Barkh Botan, resulting in the martyrdom of nine civilians from a single family, including women and children, and seriously wounding two others. Despite this massacre, the occupation continued its aggressive attacks on various areas. In retaliation, our forces launched targeted operations against Turkish occupation military bases and mercenary fortifications on multiple fronts.
On Monday, Turkish occupation warplanes conducted several airstrikes on the villages of Ghasq and Al-Tina, accompanied by heavy artillery shelling. Tanks, rocket launchers, and mortars indiscriminately bombarded the villages of Al-Tina, Ja’dah, Bir Hissou, Dekan, Melha, and Al-Sana’a, as well as the Serrin junction and the Sayfi Hill and Qara Qwzaq Hill. More than 80 shells were fired, causing extensive material damage to civilian homes and property.
In response, our forces executed an operation against Turkish occupation bases and mercenaries on the western axis of the Qara Qwzaq Bridge, inflicting severe damage. Smoke was seen rising from the target area, though the exact number of enemy casualties remains unconfirmed. A subsequent operation southwest of the bridge resulted in the destruction of a Turkish radar system, which sustained significant damage. However, the number of enemy casualties from this strike is also unknown. These bases serve as launching points for Turkish occupation and its mercenaries’ attacks on villages in the Bridge countryside, leading to civilian casualties and property destruction. Concurrently, our Martyr Haroun Units conducted four successful operations against Turkish occupation positions, two on each axis, resulting in confirmed casualties. Explosions were heard from a distance, though the full extent of enemy losses remains undetermined.
The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continued to shell the vicinity of Tishreen Dam with heavy artillery, causing material damage. In the early morning hours, Turkish occupation mercenaries attempted an attack on our positions in the northern countryside of the dam. Our forces successfully repelled the attack, eliminating three mercenaries and wounding two others. Another operation was conducted against a gathering of mercenaries who were preparing to launch an attack from the southern countryside of the dam, resulting in additional casualties, though exact numbers are unknown.
On the Ain Issa front, Turkish occupation and its mercenaries resumed attacks on civilian areas, heavily bombarding the village of Bir Arab with artillery fire. In the afternoon, the village of Abu Surra was similarly targeted, causing material damage to civilians’ homes and property.
Meanwhile, occupation mercenaries attempted an attack on our forces from the Bir Arab axis in the northern Ain Issa countryside. Our fighters successfully thwarted the attack and launched a counteroperation, though the results are yet to be confirmed. Throughout the day, Turkish occupation UCAVs were active in the area.
Additionally, Turkish occupation UCAVs continuously patrolled the airspace over Kobani and its countryside for several hours yesterday.”
