Women in London protested the Turkish police attacks on the mothers of prisoners on hunger strike.
The Roj Women's Council organised an action in front of the Wood Green Library to support the hunger strike resistance and the mothers of the prisoners on hunger strike.
Women participating in the action wore white headscarves which have become the symbol of the mothers and their peaceful sit-in attacked by police.
In a statement read at the action, women condemned the Turkish state's fascist practices and said that those practices will never intimidate women.
“Our friends and comrades on hunger strike and death fast are being assaulted. - said the women - Erdogan and his fascist regime must know that these attacks will never intimidate us, and this fascist regime will be destroyed by this magnificent resistance.”
