Shirin Elemhuli Military Training Academy opened

Şehit (Martyr) Shirin Elemhuli Military Training Academy has been opened in Medya Defense Zones.

Şehit (Martyr) Shirin Elemhuli Military Training Academy has been opened in Medya Defense Zones. The opening, dedicated to Sarya Onur martyred in the freedom struggle, was attended by KJAR (Free Women Society of East Kurdistan) Coordination Member Cihan Çiya, HPJ  (Women's Defence Forces) Command Council Member Jiyan Zemyan and Aryen Are.

Speaking at the ceremony, HPJ Command Council Member Jiyan Zemyan marked the founding anniversary of the HPJ, saying that a history is being written in Kurdistan today, and that a new process has begun in the history of the Kurdish people with the election victory of the HDP in Turkey and North Kurdistan.

Zemyan said the opening of an academy by the name of Ş. Shirin Elemhuli within the women's military forces of the Rojhilat Kurdistan was an honour to them, and pointed out that the Iranian regime have started an intense attacks against the Rojhilat people, women in the first place, and guerrillas after the Mahabad uprising on witnessing the gains of the Kurdish people in this historic process.

Zemyan said that the Iranian regime, aiming to break the freedom struggle in the person of women, directed its attacks on female guerrillas after its attacks to the guerrilla forces were responded. She pointed out that the opening of the Ş. Shirin Elemhuli Academy has been achieved thanks to the efforts of the martyrs, and was their response to the martyrdom of commander Kawenda and comrades Axîn, Berçem and Bedran.

Commander Zemyan said the opening of the academy was also a response to the attacks of the Iranian regime, adding; "The more the Iranian regime aims its attacks on us, the more we will advance our army, strengthen ourselves and get prepared for all probable attacks. As HPJ, we have always been, and will always be in defense position against the attacks targeting women."

The opening ceremony ended with slogans "Biji Serok Apo" (Long Live Leader Apo), "Şehit namirin" (Martyrs are immortal), "Jin, jiyan, azadi" (Woman, Life, Freedom).
