Members of the Peace Mothers' Assembly visited the United Nations and British Embassy in Ankara to voice their demand for the ending of war and recommencement of negotiations for a peaceful solution of the Kurdish question.

Peace Mothers' Assembly member Songül Çelik who spoke after the meeting told that all imperialist states had a part in the ongoing war and called all of them to end this dirty game.

Çelik said that during their meetings at both embassies, they asked officials to make an effort for the ending of the war, and to become a third party in negotiations. She said the officials they met had noted their demands to convey them to senior authorities, and pledged to do their part in this regard.

Çelik said they also asked the officials to serve as a third eye for the security of November 1 elections, to which they were answered that such a planning was also on the agenda of the embassies.

On the other hand, Peace Mothers have received no answer to their demand for a meeting with the U.S., German ad Iranian embassies on the mentioned subjects.

On September 1 World Peace Day, Peace Mothers from across Turkey and Northern Kurdistan held talks with the group deputy chairs of HDP, CHP and AKP in Ankara Parliament and highlighted their demand for peace against war.

A statement released by mothers after their talks said that; "We are the mothers of victims of 17,000 unidentified murders, political killings and disappearances committed during 80's and 90's. We are the mothers of 40 thousand people lost during the war and conflict. We have lost our children, our beloved ones and our nature, which were our heart and life."

Mothers called on those pursuing this war to put an immediate end to the ongoing conflict which they underlined didn't serve the protection of the country.
