Members of the Peace Mothers Assembly in Amed issued a statement to the press at Station Square in the city centre in commemoration of the civilians who lost their lives in the bomb attack at the HDP rally in the Kurdish city on 5 June.

Following the press release, Peace Mothers have left for Kobanê border in order to condemn the attacks on the Kurdish town, welcome the Eid with the mothers there and celebrate the Eid of the YPG/YPJ fighters.

The press release in support of the families of those who lost their lives or were wounded in the bomb attack was issued near the power distribution unit where the bombs were placed and detonated during the HDP rally, the last one held by the party before the historic general elections of 7 June.

Speaking here, Peace Mother Nezahat Teke said “We will be near the families suffering losses against those who want to darken our Eids”.

Teke said all the peace mothers from different cities where they are organised will go to Kobanê border in order to celebrate the Eid of the YPG/YPJ fighters, and added “During the Ramadan, we received the bodies of our children. Now we will go to the border to condemn the massacre perpetrated in Kobanê”.
