PAJK (Kurdistan Women's Liberation Party, Partiya Azadiya Jin a Kurdistan) described the massacre in Suruç as a call for self-defense and called upon young people to join the ranks of freedom forces.
PAJK strongly condemned the Suruç massacre, commemorated the young and revolutionary socialists who died in the attack, offered condolences to the families of the massacred youth, and wished injured revolutionaries a speedy recovery. PAJK described the massacre in Suruç as a call for self-defense and called upon young people to join the ranks of freedom forces. PAJK noted that the socialist struggle of young people would only grow from now on, and emphasized that it was time to organize and take action against attacks like the massacre in Suruç.
‘PEOPLE WILL REVOLT AND BRING AKP TO ACCOUNT’
PAJK stated that the bombing of socialist and democrat young people who were organizing for the rebuilding of Kobanê was the proof of a helpless state and government, and emphasized that it was AKP and its General Staff that had established Urfa as an ISIS headquarter. PAJK said that Prime Minister Davutoğlu’s and other AKP officials’ description of the massacre as an act of terror could not hide the truth as peoples still remember Erdoğan’s attacks on Kobanê and eager statement that Kobanê was about to fall. PAJK said that AKP organized the massacre in collaboration with ISIS, and assured that people would soon revolt in great anger and bring AKP to account for the attack in Suruç.
‘NO FASCIST ATTACK CAN BREAK THE WILL OF YOUNG PEOPLE AND WOMEN’
PAJK noted that state officials such as police officials and governors never show negligence towards revolutionaries and Kurds, but the same state officials often show negligence in the case of ISIS attacks and the free movement of armed ISIS gangs across the Turkish border. Recalling the history of massacres in Turkey ranging from the May 1 massacre in Taksim in 1977 to the 2011 massacre in Roboski, PAJK stated that they knew well who was attacking revolutionary youths from Turkey and Kurdistan. PAJK described the clean-hearted young people who were on their way to show solidarity with Kobanê as the identity of hope and the will of united struggle against fascism, and said that the bomb attack that targeted them also targeted their will. PAJK emphasized that no fascist attack could break the will of young people and women, but instead increase their determination, union, solidarity, and organization.
‘THIS HEINOUS MASSACRE IS A CALL TO YOUNG PEOPLE FOR SELF-DEFENSE’
PAJK described the heinous massacre in Suruç as a call to young people for self-defense, and said that it was not time to organize and take action against such planned attacks. PAJK ended its statement by promising that the young comrades’ struggle for socialism would always grow from now on, and the star of democratic socialism would always resist the concept of nation-state targeting youth, women, workers and peoples in Kurdistan and Turkey.
