PAJK (Kurdistan Women's Liberation Party, Partiya Azadiya Jin a Kurdistan) Coordination has released a statement regarding the results of the general elections in Turkey and North Kurdistan, wishing that the victory may be blessed to the women, North Kurdistan, Rojava, South Kurdistan, East Kurdistan, Kurdish people abroad, Turkey's peoples and Middle East peoples.
"May the victory also be blessed to the Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan) who developed the HDP project on the basis of women's freedom, definitive equality, democracy, democratic nation, common life and ecological society", PAK said, stressing that the election victory was the accomplishment of the politics of the Kurdish leader who put forward a Turkey-Middle East peace and democracy strategy with unilateral ceasefires since 1993 and consolidated it as of 2013.
PAJK remarked that the election victory was the achievement of the Kurdistan people who resisted in Kobanê, Rojava, Sinjar and all across their lands, and martyrs who are the true creators of this resistance and revival, the unflinching fighters of this struggle.
Underlining that women participated these elections in a fight against the male-dominant system, gendered culture, violence, femicide, nation-state fascism imposing policies of genocide in the person of women, PAJK said "In this regard, the victory of the HDP project is the victory of women, which has proved that democracy projects would not remain standing without women, that women constitute the life itself and are the builder, creator, will and actant of democratic and free society.
Congratulating all the women with a part in this victory, and especially the provinces that achieved an equal number of deputies for nomination, PAJK said; "This result has been achieved by the struggle of the women that participated the elections with the HDP project based on definitive equality, and entered the Turkish parliament with 550 seats."
PAJK said that from now on, women will be strengthening the struggle and organization under the HDP umbrella, while also changing the gendered feature of Turkey and achieving a democratic parliament of the society.
Drawing attention to the importance of the struggle in parliament, PAJK said it would also be important to work for the building of a democratic and free society, and to establish a societal organization, education and institutionalization where women can become the main subject of the society.
Describing the election victory as a message for a radical change in militarism, PAJK said the election result is the victory of the Turkey, Syria and Middle East peoples and progressive humanity uniting around the democratic society, democratic nation and free life project.
Remarking that peoples have overthrown the AKP government that persistently argued Kobanê was about to fall, PAJK said Erdoğan's dreams of dictatorship under the name of Presidential system, and new-Ottomanism have been buried in the ballot boxes with a historic lesson on June 7.
"The AKP mentality for the massacre of peoples which lives on blood and tears, undertakes the representation of ISIS in Turkey and provides any kind of support to the inhumane ISIS against humanity has been condemned and sentenced. The free will of our people has eliminated the policies of exploitation, denial and destruction in the person of AKP in Kurdistan. The winners of the elections have been women, youths, peoples, forces for democracy and freedom, oppressed class, workers, laborers, the unemployed, the poor, farmers, left-wing and socialist forces, as well as peoples, cultures and belief groups that have long been repressed, marginalized and excluded from the society", PAJK underlined.
PAJK ended its statement emphasizing that; "May our freedom path towards a Democratic Turkey based on women's revolution, democratic nation, fraternity of peoples and autonomous Kurdistan be open."
