Raqqa Women’s Administration has started a literacy course for women in the neighborhood of al-Mashrib in cooperation with the Education and Training Committee. The course will be attended by 90 women and last six months.
The opening ceremony was attended by members of civil institutions and female administrators.
Speaking here, Al-Mashrib Neighborhood Council Member Rîma Îbrahîm said; “This course is a positive step taken in order for women to get know to their personalities. Women are the corner stone of society.”
Speaking after, Raqqa Women’s Administration Member Fehîma Casim remembered the martyrs who sacrificed their lives defending the rights of women. Remarking that the ISIS gangs that have occupied parts of North and East Syria targeted women first and foremost, Fehîma added; “With their own strength, women can free themselves of the ideas created by ISIS through atrocities."
