Court accepts indictment on Özgecan Aslan murder

The indictment prepared by Tarsus Public Prosecutor’s Office on the murder of Özgecan Aslan has been accepted by Tarsus 1st High Criminal Court.

The indictment prepared by Tarsus Public Prosecutor’s Office on the murder of Özgecan Aslan has been accepted by Tarsus 1st High Criminal Court.

The indictment on the murder of Özgecan Aslan, who was brutally killed by the driver of a minibus she had taken on the way from Tarsus to Mersin on 14 February, has been accepted by a local court. The indictment was submitted to the court on 9 April following an investigation into the savage killing of the 20-year-old university student.

The indictment demands aggravated life sentence for the three suspects, Suphi Altındöken, Fatih Gökçe and Necmettin Altındöken, on charges of “torturing to death with a monstrous feeling” and “attempting sexual assault”.
