• 14 Kurdish activists taken into custody in Iran 

  The arrests were reportedly carried out mainly by the Intelligence Organisaiton of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and are linked to the organisation of this year’s Newroz celebrations in the region.
• Governor of Hewlêr visits Mardin Metropolitan Municipality 

  Hewlêr Governor Omed Xoşnav, during his visit to Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, stated that they are ready to do their part for peace, while Ahmet Türk said, "Bashur administration should defend the rights of all Kurds."
• DEM Party appoints Ferah Solmaz co-mayor of Batman 

  In order to maintain the chairmanship rule, the DEM Party has appointed Ferah Solmaz co-mayor of Batman. He joined Gülistan Sönük.
• HPG publishes balance sheet of war for April 

  The HPG Press Center published the balance sheet of war for April. While the guerrillas carried out 29 actions, 12 Turkish soldiers were killed and 1 Sikorsky helicopter was hit. The invaders attacked 12 times using chemical and banned weapons.
• HPG: 4 soldiers killed, 5 surveillance cameras and 1 tent destroyed 

  In the guerrilla actions carried out in Zap and Metîna in the Medya Defence Zones, 4 Turkish soldiers were killed, 5 surveillance cameras and 1 tent were destroyed.
• Military operation in Gever on the 7th day

• Iranian security forces kill two kolbars 

  Two kolbars were murdered as a direct result of attacks by Iranian state forces in Bane and Saqqez.
• Iran executes Kurdish prisoner of conscience after 14 years in jail 

  Anvar Khezri was one of seven Kurdish prisoners of conscience who had been sentenced to death in a joint case. Four of his co-defendants have been executed in recent months.
• 13 Turkish soldiers killed in guerrilla action in Metina 

  The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla carried out a coordinated action against the occupying Turkish army in the Şêlazê Resistance Area of Metîna, killing 13 Turkish soldiers.
• Two kolbars from Eastern Kurdistan killed by Turkish warplanes 

  Two kolbars from Eastern Kurdistan were killed as the result of an attack by Turkish warplanes.
• HPG: Turkish occupation operation in Metîna has entered a new phase 

  "The invasion operation that started on 16 April against the Metîna region has expanded with the support of the KDP and entered a new phase," the HPG said.
• ‘The duty of all parties is to protect Kurdish gains' 

  Emphasising that the Iranian state, like the Turkish state, persecutes the Kurdish people, KNK member Esrîn Qadirî Abdullah said: "The duty of all parties against the attacks is to protect the gains of the Kurds."
• HPG pays tribute to guerrillas Timoq and Amed  

  The HPG have announced the deaths of two guerrillas, Serxwebûn Timoq from Batman and Rênas Amed from Afrin. They died in an enemy attack in the Medya Defense Areas earlier this year.
• Statue in memory of YBŞ Commander Pîr Çeko 

  The opening ceremony of the statue erected in memory of Pîr Çeko, a commander of YBŞ, who was martyred together with his comrade Agir Cefrî as a result of an air attack by the Turkish state, was held.
• Niyaz Abdullah: KDP bases have been evacuated for the Turkish army in some areas 

  KNK member Niyaz Abdullah said that the 80th force of the KDP was helping the Turkish state in some places, that some KDP bases were evacuated for the Turkish army and that 50 per cent of Behdînan was under occupation.
• Kurdish politician Pencewînî: A conflict among Kurds will be a serious blow to South Kurdistan 

  Kurdish politician, Dr. Mihemet Emîn Pencewînî, said that a catastrophe is imminent if the KDP attacks the guerrillas together with the Turkish state. This would primarily represent a serious blow to South Kurdistan.

  PJAK held its 7th congress with the slogan "Let's liberate Kurdistan and build a democratic nation with the philosophy of Jin Jiyan Azadi".
• KNK co-chair Zeynep Murad: We must stand firm against Turkish attacks 

  Zeyneb Murad, co-chair of the Kurdistan National Congress, said: "It is clear that our enemies are determined to attack us. The Kurdish people must oppose these attacks."
• HPG: KDP convoy of 60 vehicles attempted to enter guerrilla areas
