Kurdish farmer kidnapped by armed men in Mosul

A Kurdish farmer by the name of Ari Ramazan Osman was kidnapped by armed men in Mosul province.

A Kurdish farmer was reportedly kidnapped by three armed men suspected of being members of ISIS in the countryside of Mosul province.

Xazî Faysal, commander of the PUK (Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) Maxmur Volunteer Peshmerga, said that the person kidnapped was Ari Ramazan Osman. He said that the farmer was taken by armed men in an area between the villages of Gelozî and Qerebeg, in the Pirdê district of Mosul.

It was reported that the kidnapped farmer’s vehicle was found abandoned in the area between the villages of Bibanî and Kelhur, while Osman is still missing.

Xazî Faysal announced that Peshmerga forces and Pirdê security units had begun search operations in the area following the incident.
