29-year-old Hüseyin Reber Türk, a nephew of Kurdish politician Ahmet Türk, was attacked at the Free Zone bridge junction in the Karaduvar neighborhood of the Akdeniz district of Mersin on Tuesday, 28 January.

Hüseyin Reber Türk lost his life in the attack and another person was injured. Hüseyin Reber Türk's funeral will be held in Merdin.

No information was received about who carried out the attack, whether they were detained or not, or the reasons for the attack.
