DEM Party's Central Executive Board meets in Van today

DEM Party co-chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan, who went to Van to protest the AKP's election coup, said: "We will not accept this injustice." The party's Central Executive Board will hold an extraordinary meeting today.

DEM Party co-chairs Tuncer Bakırhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları went to Van after the Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Van Metropolitan Municipality co-mayor Abdullah Zeydan was stripped of his victory and the AKP candidate was nominated in his place.

Bakirhan: We will not accept this injustice

Bakırhan said: “There is serious pressure. There is support against this injustice and unlawfulness from political parties and all over Turkey. Protests and events are being held in many places, from Istanbul to many places. On Wednesday, for the first time in Van, so many civil society associations, MPs, political parties and institutions representatives will be here. There is great solidarity. We are here too. We will not accept this injustice."

MYK will hold an extraordinary meeting

The party's Central Executive Board (MYK), MPs and executives will hold an extraordinary meeting in Van today. After the meeting, the party will meet the people at 12pm in Feqiyê Teyran Park.
