Asrin Law Office lawyers Raziye Öztürk, Rezan Sarıca, Mazlum Dinç and Faik Özgür Erol applied to Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and İmralı Prison Directorate for a meeting with their client Abdullah Öcalan and his fellow prisoners Ömer Hayri Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Veysi Aktaş also held in İmralı Prison.

Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan has been unable to contact his lawyers for years. While the lawyers’ requests for meetings have been systematically left unanswered, at least 15 orders have been issued in the last 8 years banning him from seeing his lawyers.

Lawyer Özgür Faik Erol was able to attend the meeting with Abdullah Öcalan, Ömer Hayri Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Veysi Aktaş on February 27 as part of the talks with the İmralı Delegation of the Peoples’ Democracy and Equality Party (DEM Party).
