YPJ fighter Zeyneb Derik said the following on her participation in the operation: “It is my first time taking part in a fight against ISIS gangs. As a young woman from Deir ez-Zor, I will fulfill our mission to liberate my homeland and the Arab women who have been living under ISIS tyranny for years. I will stand against the mindset that traps women in the home and the chains that enslave women.”
Fighter Viyan Derazor said: “I am taking part in the Operation Cizire Storm to liberate the Dashisha territory. I will participate in future operations as well. Like I was liberated, I will rescue oppressed women so they can have their rights.”
