Zeynep Ölbeci, who had been taken into custody on Wednesday morning within the scope of the Kobanê investigation, was sent to jail by the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court.
Ölbeci, who was detained in Istanbul, was heard at the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court, via the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS). Ölbeci's lawyers were also present at the hearing.
Ölbeci denied all allegations made by an anonimous witness. Stating that she was involved in political activities, Ölbeci requested a trial without arrest.
Her lawyer, Kenan Maçoğlu, said that there were only secret witness statements against her client and that they did not constitute a strong suspicion of crime.
The court board decided that Ölbeci should be arrested to avoid her escape.
The number of people detained within the scope of the Kobanê indictment increased to 28.
