Women in Rojava celebrate opening of JIN TV

"The voice of the woman, the face of life" is the motto of the new women's channel JIN TV, which went on the air the day before after several months of testing. In the northern Syrian canton of Shehba and in Qamishlo, events took place on this occasion, in which media employees and hundreds of other women participated.
Speaking at the opening ceremony in Qamishlo, Evîn Siwêd, on behalf of the Kurdish women's movement Kongreya Star, said: "TV station JIN TV is one of the achievements of women's years of struggle."
Jiyan Hêvî of the station's lead announced that JIN TV will spread the reality of women around the world: "JIN TV will be the mirror of women worldwide."
