‘Women become stronger thanks to the ideas of Leader Abdullah Öcalan'

Women members of TEV-DEM, who read the book 'Sociology of Freedom' by Leader Abdullah Öcalan, said that women were empowered in every field by the ideas of the Kurdish leader.

Members of the Women's Assembly of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) started to read the book 'Sociology of Freedom' in two groups within the scope of expanding the reading groups of Kurdish Leader Abdullah Öcalan's books.

The reading groups consisting of 16 women started reading the book in two groups at the TEV-DEM centre in Qamishlo.

In the first part of the book, which was read in Arabic, Kurdish (Kurmanji dialect) was discussed in order to understand the truth of social sciences.

Cizre Canton Intellectuals Union Co-Chair Anahita Sino, who is a member of the working group, spoke to ANHA about the book 'Sociology of Freedom'.

Anahita Sino stated that as TEV-DEM women's branches, they decided to read and discuss Abdullah Öcalan's book 'Sociology of Freedom' in all institutions.

Anahita Sino said that their aim was to get to know social science and society and to find the power to solve social problems, and on the other hand to create awareness of women's freedom.

Jiyan Mihemed, a member of the TEV-DEM Women's Bureau, stated that the women had started to read Abdullah Öcalan's book 'Sociology of Freedom' as part of the project of getting to know themselves.

Jiyan Mihemed said that the working group is progressing independently and that by reading and discussing the ideas of Leader Abdullah Öcalan, women will become stronger in their lives and work.
