Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar, members of the Imrali Delegation of the Peoples' Party for Equality and Democracy (DEM Party), will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Monday. The meeting will take place at the Presidential Palace at 3 p.m.
The delegation had its first meeting with Erdoğan on April 10.
Before the meeting with Erdoğan, the Imrali Delegation will meet with DEM Party Co-Chairs Tuncer Bakırhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları.
Earlier today, the delegation traveled to Imrali and held a 2.5-hour meeting with Abdullah Öcalan.
As part of the peace and democratic society process, critical developments are expected to take place in the coming days.
A group of PKK guerrillas are expected to lay down their arms in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq next week in line with Öcalan's call for disarmament.
In a statement through the Imrali Delegation on May 18, Öcalan stated that “a new social contract is needed.”
The DEM Party delegation has held six meetings with the Kurdish leader in İmralı Island Prison since discussions on the resolution of the Kurdish issue resumed.
