The Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (TJK-E) has published an action plan for International Women's Struggle Day on March 8. "Against feminicides, we rely on free women and a free society. The 21st century is an era of women's revolutions. An organized, growing and united women's struggle is the guarantee of a free and equal life," the call reads.
In its statement, the TJK-E points to women's struggles worldwide and the aggressive response of the patriarchal system of domination: "Women have woken up in the face of violence, oppression, exploitation and massacres. The best weapon against the misogynist system is organized struggle. Therefore, the liberation struggle of women is feared."
The Kurdish women's movement in Europe is planning March 8 activities in Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Austria, Greece, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland; actions have also been announced in Canada and Australia: "Kurdish women will defend freedom against fascism and genocide on March 8. As TJK-E, we call on women to hold the male domination system and all dictators accountable."
