Turkey People's Liberation Front / Rural Guerrilla Command (THKC/Kır) issued a written statement to mark 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

The statement said: "Erdogan and the AKP fascist administration are the political center of all attacks against women and their gains. They are aimed at the protection of male criminals who legitimize violence and massacres against women, brutally attacking women in the middle of the street and condemning them to a traditional slave identity."

The statement added: "Women should address and intensify the guerrilla struggle as an area of self-liberation within the scope of self-defense, because armed struggle is the only way to protect ourselves against these repressive policies."

THKC/Urban called on all women anywhere in the world to "stand up against dictators and fascism on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, 25 November. It is our promise to all women: we will fight against gender inequality, discrimination, patriarchal and domestic violence, imperialist war and occupation, racism, capitalism and fascism."
