Mothers of prisoners on hunger strike continue to take to the streets in solidarity with their children and their demand for the end of the isolation imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Mothers promoted a sit-in action in Van province to give voice to their children who have put their lives at stake and are nearing death every passing day.
The action was also attended by Van MP Muazzez Orhan, HDP Van provincial branch co-chairs Yadişen Karabulak and Ümit Dede, Peace Mothers and TJA (Free Women’s Movement) activists.
During the demonstration, mothers urged that the demands of hunger strikers be met and the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan be lifted.
