Paris 8 March celebration commended Leyla Güven

The celebrations started in the center of Paris, at République Square, where the women lied on the ground to represent women murdered by men.

8 March, International Working Women's Day in Paris was organised by a platform created by many national and international women's organizations.

The celebrations started in the center of Paris, at République Square, where the women lied on the ground to represent women murdered by men.

Indeed it was noted that men this year joined the celebration en masse. Women from the organizations conforming the Platform, women workers on strike and women janitors all delivered speeches at the rally.

At the rally, women who were fired from Hayat Hotel and are still on strike to improve their working conditions gave a message.

Speeches were made on behalf of Sud Cleaning Company employees, Socialist Women's Union (SBP), Yellow Vest Women (FGJ), Youth and Climate, Jineoloji, Algerian Women, France Kurdish Women's Movement (TJK-Fi), Brasilian Women, Turkey, Iran and Tunisian women and women on strike at Yves Rocher.

A women’s choir also performed at the rally.
