The Jineoloji Academy of Northern and Eastern Syria organized a panel in the women’s village of Jinwar in Dirbesiye on the occasion of 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The panel was attended by members of women's organizations and movements, members of youth organizations and residents of the village of Jinwar.
The panel addressed 2 topics; types and forms of violence against women and strengthening the principle of protection in society.
The first topic of the panel was moderated by Zehrîban Hisên, a member of the Jineoloji Research Center. Zehrîban Hisên spoke about the types of physical, psychological, economic and technological violence against women.
Zehrîban Hisên spoke about the role of the gains made by women's organizations and movements after the 19 July Revolution in the development of women's knowledge.
The second topic of the panel was moderated by Yasmîn Ehmed, the administrator of Jinwar village.
Yasmin Ehmed spoke about activating the role of women in resistance against violence and establishing a strong alliance of women.
A video about technological violence and its effects on women was then shown. A final report was published at the end of the panel.
