North and East Syrian Women's Coordination for Leyla Güven

The women's organizations urged all women in the world, libertarian peoples, the UN and human rights organizations to act in response to the demands of the hunger strikers.

North and East Syrian Women's Coordination has organised an action in front of the UN representation in Qamishlo.

The North and East Syrian Women’s Coordination is composed of 16 women's organizations and political parties.

Women representatives of the PYD, Kurdistan Peace and Democracy Party, Syrian Kurds al-Wifaq Party, Kurdistan Brotherhood Party, Kurdistan Green Party, Sara organisation against Violence Against Women, Human Rights Organization, Arab National Council, Teyar El-Musteqbel a Kurdistanî, Kurdistan Women's Union, Syria Women's Assembly, Kongreya Star and women civil society organizations in Qamishlo joined the action.

In a press statement read in front of the UN representation in Qamishlo, the Coordination emphasized the role of women in the revolution and emphasized that women are the pioneers of free society.

In the statement, it was also remembered how Öcalan's philosophy has hugely contributed to the intensification of women's struggle.

The women's organizations also expressed support for the hunger strike actions, and urged all women in the world, libertarian peoples, the UN and human rights organizations to act in response to the demands of the hunger strikers.
