Manbij, Raqqa, Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor women unite against invasion

Women from Manbij, Raqqa, Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor stress that they will resist the invasion attacks by the Turkish state and not let the Ottomans come back to Syrian lands.

Women from Manbij, Raqqa, Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor have launched a series of protests against the Turkish state’s threats of invasion. The first demonstration was launched in Raqqa, and Syrian Future Party members and the youth will be joining the demonstration against threats of invasion.

Northern and Eastern Syrian Women’s Committee and Tabqa Women’s Assembly General Relations Committee Member Nadya Mihemed spoke to ANHA and said they will stand against the invading Turkish state with all the women of Northern and Eastern Syria. Nadya said, “We as the women from areas liberated from ISIS will stand against invaders attempting to bring the Ottomans back into the region.”

Deir ez-Zor Women’s Assembly Member Hiyam Ehmed said they will be holding marches, tent demonstrations and various others “to show [their] stance against the Turkish invasion that wishes to bring the Ottomans back to Syrian lands:”

Manbij Women’s Assembly Spokesperson Hala Hesen said: “As women we suffered ISIS tyranny for years. The true face of the Turkish state is ISIS. We won’t let Turkey attack our lands.”

Hala Hesen concluded with: “The people of the region will resist the Turkish invasion. Young and old, men and women, big and small, everybody is united in a single voice saying no to the Turkish invasion.”
