Kurdish Women’s Movement activist detained in Amed

The Turkish regime’s political genocide against the Kurdish people continues unabated.

Arrests are increasing in the scope of the investigation launched by Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against the civil society organization DTK (Democratic Society Congress).

Rojbin Çetin, a member of the Democratic Local Administrations Board and Kurdish Free Women’s Movement (TJA) was taken into custody following a police raid on her flat in Amed Friday evening. She was reportedly taken to the provincial security directorate.

The number of those detained in the scope of the investigation against DTK has thus risen to 44.
