Kurdish musicians support the "100 reasons" campaign in Cologne

The Viyan Women's Council has collected signatures in Cologne as part of the campaign demanding to bring the Turkish president to justice for his crimes against women. The activists were supported by Kurdish musicians Hozan Kawa and Hozan Şemdin.

Viyan Women's Council has again promoted the campaign "100 reasons to prosecute the dictator" in Cologne and collected signatures. The campaign was launched on November 25 by the Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (TJK-E). It aims to collect 100,000 signatures for a petition by International Women's Struggle Day on March 8. The women's movement demands that Turkish head of state Recep Tayyip Erdogan be brought to justice for his crimes against women.

An information stand was set up in front of Cologne's main train station on Friday afternoon. Banners and pictures of the hundred murdered women were laid out in front of the table, symbolic of Erdogan's uncounted crimes. The activists of the Women's Council distributed brochures explaining the campaign.

The women were supported by Hozan Kawa and Hozan Şemdin. The two Kurdish musicians sang songs and participated in the conversations with passers-by.
