Kurdish artist and journalist Zehra Doğan carried out an action on Monday in front of the Iranian consulate in Berlin in support of women protesting in Iran and Rojhilat.

Kurdish artist and journalist Zehra Doğan carried out an action on Monday in front of the Iranian consulate in ‪Berlin to support the struggle of women in Iran.

Doğan used henna, hair and menstrual blood for her artistic performance. She was taken into custody by the German police.

Doğan and journalist Ulaş Yunus Tosun, who was filming the action, were taken into police custody. They were released around 3.30pm.
