Free Women’s Congress (KJA) called upon AKP to end the political and military operations, and start negotiations immediately.
In its statement, KJA emphasized that AKP was unable to form a government by itself after the June 7 elections, and made it impossible for the democratic solution process to continue with its all-out war after failing to accept defeat.
'THEY DID NOT LEARN FROM HISTORY'
KJA noted that the Turkish state launched aerial and land operations, burned villages and nature, carried out extrajudicial executions and crimes against humanity, and increased its detentions and arrests. KJA recalled that thousands of people have been arbitrarily arrested and detained since July 25, 2015, and the transition AKP government and the President has been trying to intimidate opposition forces in order to prepare for early elections with the hope of winning the upcoming elections. KJA stated that trying to control voters’ will with arrests and detentions is an indicator that they did not from history.
'CEASEFIRE SHOULD BE MADE, NEGOTIONS MUST BEGIN’
KJA called for an end to military and political operations in order to create the conditions for a ceasefire and transform the dialogue process before June 7 into negotiations.
