Feminist groups in Turkey have started an online signature campaign to support the HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) in 7 June general elections in Turkey and North Kurdistan.

“We vote for HDP and call for votes for HDP”, say feminists who say they believe the HDP's getting into the parliament would pave the way for the expansion of their political sphere against the anti-democratic and authoritarian regime.

The statement by feminists says that; “We see that HDP has a different political tendency with its approach against centralization and standardization, the pluralist politics it proposes, objection to degrading the politics into parliament, and recognition of oppressed identities and attention to their demands. It is crucial that HDP get into the parliament in order for the achievement of peace and a lasting solution to the Kurdish question. In addition, we also attach great importance to the HDP's attitude towards women's struggle, that of the Kurdish women in the first place.”
