European Women's Solidarity: Let's be creative on 1 May

European Women's Solidarity called on everyone to be creative and celebrate 1 May on the streets keeping social distance.

European Women's Solidarity issued a statement about the forthcoming May Day celebrations, which this year will necessarily be very different because of the coronavirus emergency.

In the statement, the women organisation called on people to be creative and celebrate in the streets while maintaining social distance.

The statement added: "We have witnessed once again the failure and incompetence of capitalism, especially in the health system. It has been proved once again that capitalism is against the interest of societies.

We invite all our people, especially women, to be creative and celebrate 1 May bringing their demands on the streets."
