Onalia Çendy was murdered last Tuesday evening in her apartment in the German city of Dortmund. The murder was committed by the husband in front of their children. Various women's organizations called for a commemoration of the young mother and a protest march in Dortmund immediately after the murder was announced.

On this occasion, numerous Kurdish and international women's associations gathered in Dortmund on Saturday and protested together with family members against the murder of Olania Çendy and against the murder of women worldwide. The demonstrators appeared with different banners and flags. They shouted slogans like "All together against the murder of women", "Jin Jiyan Azadî". African women's organizations and the Antifa also took part in the demonstration.

The demonstration ended in front of the apartment of Onalia Çendy where speeches were made and flowers were laid down. Those present mourned together with family members.
