British woman came to Amed to learn Kurdish

Cvane, who came to Amed in 2015 and loved the city, returned again this year to learn Kurdish.

Nicky Cvane, a British woman who came to Kurdistan to learn the language, learned Kurmanci and Kirmancki in about 3 months.

Born in Severn in 1943, Nicky Cvane has been supporting people in need in the church for years.

Cvane, who came to Amed in 2015 and loved the city, returned again this year to learn Kurdish. 

Cvane said that she had known the Kurdish Freedom Movement for many years and said that she had come to Kurdistan to learn Kurdish and get to know Kurdish culture.

Every time she visits Kurdistan, Cvane said, she falls in love with these lands more. "Kurdistan is a very beautiful place and has a rich culture. I traveled to Bitlis and Van. Touring these cities added something new to me, the language and culture of the Kurds are very rich. I came to Amed and then I was very impressed with this city. I am following the Kurdish Freedom Movement. I always pray for the Kurds ".
