YPJ reunites Yazidi woman with her family
The Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) and the Yazidi House handed over the Yazidi woman Kovan Aidi Aidi Khourto to her family.
The Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) and the Yazidi House handed over the Yazidi woman Kovan Aidi Khourto to her family.
Kovan was liberated from ISIS captivity by YPJ forces during Operation Humanity and Security 3 in the al-Hol camp on 4 February 2024.
Kovan is among hundreds of Yazidi women who reunited with their families after they were liberated from ISIS captivity by YPJ forces.
The YPJ said in a statement: "We reiterate our unwavering commitment to defending and liberating women, especially Yazidi women, from ISIS captivity, and assisting them in reuniting with their families."
