SDF: As Turkey escalates its aggression, our forces repel multiple attacks in Tishrin and Qereqozak

The SDF said it repelled many attacks by Turkish proxies near Tishrin Dam and Qereqozak.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said in a statement that "on Friday, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries intensified their aggressive attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria."

The statement added: "Turkish occupation warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on the Tishrin Dam countryside, coinciding with heavy artillery shelling. The airstrikes began on Thursday night and continued until 5:00 AM on Friday. Additionally, the artillery targeted workers’ housing and surrounding areas, causing material damage."

The statement continued: "Under the cover of air and artillery bombardment, Turkish occupation mercenaries launched an attack on one of our positions near Syriatel Hill. Our fighters repelled the attack, leading to clashes that resulted in the elimination of one mercenary. Another attack was launched from the Abu Qalqal – Syriatel Hill axis, but our forces thwarted it successfully after intense clashes, eliminating four mercenaries and injuring five others, while the remaining mercenary attackers fled.

A third attack was launched from the village of Al-Atshana, which was also repelled. Three additional mercenaries were eliminated in the ensuing clashes.

Villages around the Qereqozaq bridge came under heavy and indiscriminate shelling by artillery, tanks, rocket launchers, and mortars. The bombardment targeted the villages of Al-Tina, Ja’da, Bir Hisso, Ghasaq, Dekan, Melha, and Al-San’a, as well as the Sifi Hill and Qara Qwzaw Hill, with more than 90 shells fired, causing extensive material damage to civilian homes and properties."

In addition, said the statement, "Turkish warplanes and UCAVs conducted continuous aerial surveillance over Kobane and its countryside, as well as Ain Issa throughout the day.
On Friday alone, eight Turkish occupation mercenaries were eliminated, and five others were wounded in the clashes."
