The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement providing information about the actions they carried out against the occupation forces in Manbij, Ain Issa and Gire Spi (Tal Abyad) in response to the attacks against North-East Syria.

“In the context of our right to a legitimate response to the attacks and aggressions of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, our SDF forces conducted a series of military operations targeting Turkish occupation bases and its mercenaries in various occupied areas,” said the SDF statement, detailing the actions as follows:

“On January 15th, at approximately 22:30, the forces of the Manbij Military Council conducted an operation targeting a point belonging to the Turkish-backed mercenaries in the al-Sayyada village, near Shehib village, resulting in the elimination of four mercenaries.

On January 17th, on the Ain Issa frontlines, our forces targeted with heavy weapons checkpoint and base belonging to the Turkish occupation in al-Sharakrak village, northeast Ain Issa. The extent of losses suffered by the Turkish occupation forces and its mercenaries remains unknown.

On that same day, our forces conducted two simultaneous operations using heavy weapons against a base belonging to the Turkish occupation in the village of “Tina” and a point belonging to Turkish-backed mercenaries in a farm in Muallak village, south of the occupied Tal Abyad. The operations resulted in confirmed injuries among the ranks of the Turkish occupation soldiers and their mercenaries.

On that same day, our forces conducted an infiltration operation against a Turkish occupation base in the al-Salibi village, west of Tal Abyad town. Our forces targeted the base with medium weapons, resulting in intense clashes between our forces and the Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries.

The four operations conducted by our forces resulted in the elimination of 13 Turkish-backed mercenaries and two Turkish soldiers.”
