Hundreds of people bid farewell to YPG fighter martyr Cûdî Amanos in Aleppo's Şêxmeqsûd and Eşrefiye neighbourhoods.

Hundreds of people in Aleppo's Şêxmeqsûd and Eşrefiye neighbourhoods laid YPG fighter Cûdî Amanos, who died in a traffic accident on 12 July.

The crowd gathered in front of the Martyr Xalid Fecir Hospital in the west of Şêxmeqsûd and received the remains of Martyr Cûdî Amanos. Then, the crowd moved to Şêxmeqsûd and Eşrefiye Resistance Martyrs' Cemetery in a convoy.

In his speech at the martyrdom, Şervan Afrin, one of the commanders of the Aleppo People's Defense Units (YPG), pointed to the sacrifices made by the YPG and YPJ to save the country from the invaders and said: "July is the month of resistance and sacrifices. Martyr Akif Yılmaz, Kemal Pîr, Mehmet Hayri Durmuş and Ali Çiçek.”

Stating that the liberation of the occupied lands is their main goal, Şervan Afrin promised martyr Cûdî Amanos and all martyrs that they will follow their path until a democratic, free and multi-coloured society is established.

Martyrs' Families Council Member Remziye Salih said in her speech: "The Kurdish people will make sacrifices until they reach their goal and save their country. The dreams of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the protection of the country by raising the struggle will come true."

Zekiye Mistefa, a member of the Aleppo Democratic Society Education Committee (KPC-D), read the martyrdom document and handed it over to the martyr's family.

At the end of the ceremony, martyr Cûdî Amanos was buried.
