On March 23, the Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT) of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in a joint security operation with the International Coalition, successfully eliminated a key ISIS financier in Raqqa City.
The targeted terrorist is called Sameer Khudir al-Shihan, an Iraqi national responsible for funding ISIS cells within the city.
“Supported by Coalition air surveillance, our YAT forces raided where the terrorist al-Shihan was hiding. Ignoring the call for safe surrender, the terrorist adamantly resisted our forces, who handled the situation with the utmost professionalism and eliminated him,” said the SDF Media Center in a statement about the operation.
