New phase in the operation to liberate Raqqa
A third axis has joined the fighters advancing towards Raqqa in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates which continues in its third phase which was launched with two axes on February 4.

A third axis has joined the fighters advancing towards Raqqa in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates which continues in its third phase which was launched with two axes on February 4.
Fighters in the third axis are advancing towards Raqqa from Mekmen area where they have advanced 5 km already, liberating the villages of Siyad and Hassan Zeyt from ISIS in the wake of heavy clashes.
Fighters have started mop-up operations in the liberated villages and have defused hundreds of mines planted by ISIS in this region.
The first phase of the Operation Wrath of Euphrates was initiated on November 4, 2016, the second phase on December 10, 2016 and the third on February 4, 2017. Two axes joining the third phase united on February 11.
