KNK delegation holds diplomatic talks in Washington
The KNK delegation headed by Ahmet Karamus travelled to the USA for diplomatic contacts. It was stated that the Kurdish delegation’s proposals were welcomed in the talks.

The Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) delegation travelled to Washington for diplomatic contacts. The delegation, led by KNK Co-Chair Ahmet Karamus, met with members of the US House of Representatives and Senate, and also held roundtable meetings with State Department officials and 8 different think-tank organisations.
KNK Co- Chair Ahmet Karamus said that they answered the questions of think tank representatives at the round table meetings and shared their thoughts and suggestions on the situation in the Middle East, the situation in Turkey, latest elections in Turkey, military operations, etc.
After the meetings in Washington DC, the delegation will move to New York and will continue their talks there.
Suggestions for the solution of the Kurdish question shared
Answering a question about the atmosphere of the diplomatic meetings, KNK Co-Chair Ahmet Karamus said that during the meetings with members of the House of Representatives, members of Congress, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of think tanks, they shared the KNK's proposals for a solution to the Kurdish question. Ahmet Karamus stated that the meetings took place in a very warm atmosphere and that the approach to the KNK delegation was very positive.
Karamus stated that the latest situation in the Middle East, the Kurdish position, Kurdish-American relations, the Turkish state's preparations for a comprehensive attack on Rojava and South Kurdistan, the 31 March local elections in Turkey and their results, the democratisation of Turkey as well as the stability of the Middle East came to the fore during the meetings with officials and think tank representatives.
When asked how the approach of the KNK delegation was viewed in diplomatic talks, Karamus said, "The attitude of the Kurdish side is seen as acceptable here. Our talks are positive.”
